And while I know that question is more or less rhetorical, I always feel goofy because I rarely have an easy answer. I just do. Like anybody I have my strengths and shortcomings. One of my strengths happens to be project organization. Put me in charge, give me a budget and a deadline, and I'll make things happen.
But if you want more insight than that... One of the tools I use is "To Do" lists. Seems pretty basic, but I don't think enough folks take the time to plot these things out. I make a new list every couple of weeks (or so) lining up the items that need tended to over the next month (or so). The very act of creating these these sloppily written, short hand laden documents help me keep myself focused on what needs to happen.
Here's the one I wrote up this morning. I'll probably only get about half of these items done before my next list, but that's OK. Its more of a tool to help me focus on the projects, keeping them fresh in my mind.
