Want to know what burns my britches a little? While it's received more local press in recent years than ever before, Columbus powers that be haven't been singing the praises of our local indie comix show the way that they should. They put up a statue of Arnold in front of the Vet for his PED expo... You'd think a city that passed a referendum declaring itself the "Indie Art Capitol of the Universe" or whatever it was would crow about hosting the 15th year for the Small Press and Alternative Press Expo. Where do I start a petition!?
Anyways... I'm grateful that head SPACE guy, Bob Corby, has co-sponsored the Indie Comics Fair At The Ace of Cups for the third year in a row. Without his help, we wouldn't have that cool poster by artist Rich Trask!

And that 15 year mark for SPACE isn't Bob's only milestone this year! He has been self publishing since 1986 and his most recent issue of Oh,Comics! was the 25th anniversary edition! Bob also self publishes Bunny Blues / Leaves and numerous minicomics.
At the Indie Comics Fair, Bob will be selling discount tickets to SPACE as well as his own comics. (Every copy of the SPACE anthology he sells goes toward the cash prizes given to artists every year at the show.)
